Hi I'm Alana

I am an ordinary American. I try to make each day better than the rest. I am a mom and a wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am fortunate enough to be the wife to an amazing husband and a mother to a handsome baby boy! I love the outdoors and learning new talents. I have recently started baking and enjoy filling our home with my new creations. They don't always turn out how I would like, but my family and friends are accepting of my new experimental hobby. I occasionally work here and there. I love to clean (other peoples houses). My life is centered around my family and my close friends.I never realized how important my family was until I got married and had one of my own. I have learned so much from the people around me. I love the way my life has played out and I can't wait to see what else is in store for me! Of all the trials that have been placed in my path I can't help but realize how much those trials have blessed my life in some way or another! I hope to become my idea of the perfect wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

A couple of years ago I wouldn't be able to answer the question of why I am a mormon. It was just something I did because I knew I should since that is how my parents taught me. Now that I am on my own, I have come to realize that it is the only place I want to be. It is the only church that has all truth in it. I love the feelings that I get as I read His gospel and go to church. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and won't ever leave me. He has protected me throughout my rebellious teenage years, encouraged and strengthened me through the first months of being a mother, comforted me in times of sorrow and showed me that in the eternal perspective, some things don't matter as much as I think! I Know without a doubt that my Savior stands beside me each day. He wants me to make the right decisions so that I can have the unending happiness that comes when we do what is right. I love my Heavenly Father and am so thankful to him for not giving up on me. This church is true. There is a certain love and acceptance that this church brings. Our prophet is called of God! He wants what is best for us as well! I wouldn't rather be any other place than where I am now.

How I live my faith

In my community I try to do the small things. I am not the type to go out and organize a huge gathering or put together a youth activity, unless it was asked of me. Its the people that don't speak up that I love to help. The people who I am prompted by the spirit to go say hi to. To bake cookies for some elderly in our ward. I don't want to change the world all at one time, its the small and simple things that can really make someone's day! I am blessed in being able to visit some lady's in our ward that are around my age. It is nice to hear their stories and learn things from them that I can use in my own home. I try to be the person who always has a good attitude, who always has a smile, and who you can always count on. I strive to live my life the best that I can, so that "those who don't know Christ will want to know Him, because they know me".
