Hi I'm Sarah

I am the wife of an amazing husband, and the mother of two amazing boys. I am an Intellectual Property Law attorney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother. I have two very active little boys. We like to read together, play outside, and cook. My husband and I are both attorneys. We attended law school together and had both of our little boys while in law school. Like most people, our family is our number one priority.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the anchor of my life. I love my little family so deeply and cannot imagine that this life is all that we have together. I know that because of our Savior, we will all live again. And if we choose to follow His plan for us, we will live again together, with Him. I know that our Heavenly Father didn't just place us on the earth to wander, but has given us a plan with specific commandments. I take great comfort in knowing that if I am obedient to His commandments, I will be blessed and protected, even through the trials that inevitably come in our lives. I know God hears and answers our prayers.

How I live my faith

I am currently a teacher in the class for children aged 3-4. I love teaching children the basic principles about God; they are little sponges. They are a testimony to me of God's love. Their pure hearts and clean minds are so close to the Lord. They are full of love and always want to please. I also love to participate in the mother's group our church has. We get together at parks to allow the children to play and enjoy talking to other caregivers, relishing with each other the joys of raising children (some sweet things, and lots of hilarious things).

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormons believe in equality between men and women, and in some areas, women are even elevated above men. My husband and I are very much equals. We are both attorneys, and we share in many of the household duties. However, there are things about our individual natures that serve us better in certain roles. For example, my husband couldn't breastfeed our children. Even now that our children are older, they still prefer to have me comfort them if they are scared. Daddy is better at wrestling and reading stories. But it's about more than just sharing in household duties and childcare. It's about how my husband and I feel about one another and how we feel as individuals who belong to the Church of Jesus Christ. I feel that being raised in the Church prepared me to receive a good education and be an empowered woman. I have always felt that I could accomplish any goal if I relied on the Lord. My husband makes me feel that way even more. He is truly my wings. When I attend church and read the scriptures, it is affirmed to me that women are special to the Lord. We are His righteous daughters here in the kingdom and we can do so much good as we put our faith in Him. Show more Show less
