Hi I'm Nikki

I'm a mother of 2, a wife of 20 years and work as an RN...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Nikki. I have a son on a mission in Belize and a daughter that just graduated from high school. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years. We live in Arizona and love to go to the sand dunes at the arizona/california border. We love the water and enjoy boating and going to mexico whenever we can. Being with my little family makes me happy:) I have been an RN for 2 years. I love my job!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church. After I was married, my husband and I went to church often but I felt like there was something missing in my committment to the gospel. At the age of 26 I had never actually read the whole Book of Mormon, so I did. I read and I prayed and I asked Heavenly Father if all this was really true...If Joseph Smith was real ( cuz, really? Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visit a 14 year old boy???), if the Book of Mormon was true. One morning I got my answer as I was reading in Nephi. I've heard people say they had a "burning in their heart" and I didnt understand fully what that meant until it happened to me. My heart was filled with warmth and love and peace like I had never known as I read Nephi's words. And I knew. I just knew. It is ALL true. I will never be able to deny it. That was 15 years ago. Although it's not always easy to live the Gospel, and I don't always make the best choices, I know that this is the only way to peace. So I keep trying, day after day... and I find joy and in that.

How I live my faith

I teach the 3 and 4 year old children. What fun it is! Especially because my children are grown. I teach them from a teaching manual that is the same for the whole church. The lessons include things like being kind to animals, obeying your parents, being thankful for plants and insects, Jesus Christ is our friend. Simple stuff. But it's the simple stuff that makes up the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The most wonderful part is that the children see Jesus Christ as a real part of their own lives, and they love him, they know Jesus love them too.
