Hi I'm Mindy

I'm a wife and a mother of 6. I'm a runner, a native from Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom and watch my neighbor's adorable baby three days a week. I love trying new things, learning new skills and being active in my church and community. Two years ago I did my first sprint triathalon. It had been a goal of mine for years. It was a blast! I love partcipating in athletic events with my boys and husband. I love seeing movies with my oldest daughter and doing "girly" things with my youngest daughter. I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. I go to girls camp with the youth in my church and absolutlely love it! I've been involved in Cub Scouts for years through my church in various positions . For the past 7 years I've been involved at my children's school with the PTSO and PTA. It has been fun to make new friends of all faiths. I enjoy working with my hands whether it's doing yard work, building things and using power tools, doing crafts, or sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many teenagers I didn't always make the best choices. One night I decided that I needed to make a change in my life. I dedicated myself to reading the scriptures each day and saying my prayers morning and night. This was a turning point in my life. I was the happiest I had ever been. I could feel God's love for me and could feel the influence of the Holy Ghost daily. I always had a smile on my face. I couldn't help it. Now as a wife and mother I cling to the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It gives me guidance in my life and the tools I need to be a successful mother. The lessons I receive each week at church inspire me to be a better person and remind me of the things I need to do to become more Christlike. I know with out a doubt that God is my father and Christ is my brother. I know that God's plan was for us to come here to earth to be tried and tested to see if we would be valiant in our testimonies of Christ. I know that He loves every one of us on this earth. I know that His sorrow is great when He sees us making poor choices and His joy is great when He sees us drawing close to Him. He wants to bless us and is anxiously waiting to do so if we keep His commandments. I know that Jesus is my Savior and that he sacrificed in the Garden of Gethsemane and died for me so I can repent and be clean again. I'm a Mormon and I'm grateful for a church that has taught me these truths.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to see others as Christ would. We all have our "stories" that give insight as to why we are the person we have become today. I'm a social butterfly and like making new friends. As I meet new people I try not to judge them. I look for the good in them and find strengths in them that we can build a freindship on. I find that people of other faiths are like me in many ways. We all care about our families and want the best for them. We enjoy helping those in need and find joy in giving service to others. We love having friends and spending time with them. We seek out activities and people that bring us joy. We are all children of a God who loves us. Volunteering and giving service brings me a lot of joy. I think that's why I get involved in so many things. I love my family and am grateful for a husband who works so hard to provide for our family so I can stay home and give a 100% to serving my family and my God. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve in the community and in my church. I have learned new skills and gained a greater understanding for the joy the Savior must have felt during his lifetime of service to others.
