Hi I'm Alexis

I'm a teacher, a mother, a stepmother, a wife, I can sing in Italian and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of one and a stepmother of 4. I teach fifth grade. I love being on stage and am trying to get back into musical theatre after nearly 20 years. I enjoy my book club, my weekly "girls' night out," and sometimes a quiet moment to myself.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I didn't always make perfect choices. When I went to junior high school I began hanging out with some kids who who were Mormon. It wasn't until high school, though, that I really began too see how different they really were from my other friends. They shared their faith with me and invited me into their homes to learn about the gospel. I loved the gospel of Jesus Christ! I realized at some point that I wanted what they had. Were they perfect people? No. But they were happy people, and they truly lived what they believed. I was impressed. I joined the church when I was 16 years old. I am grateful for the choice I was allowed to make at a young age and have never regretted it.

How I live my faith

Besides trying to be an example of my Savior daily (which is not an easy task), I have been given many opportunities to serve in the church. Every month, a friend and I go and visit these amazing girls in our area. I absolutely love them! We have so much fun when we get together. We're there for each other when life throws its curveballs. I also get to teach the Webelos (which is a rank in Cub Scouts). We meet every week to prepare these boys to join the ranks of the "Boy" Scouts in just a year. They defintely keep me on my toes!
