Hi I'm Mike

I am a Husband, I am a Father, I am an Oral and Maxillofacial surgery resident, andI'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father, an oral surgery resident, and an eagle scout. When time permits, which is not very often, I enjoy snow skiing, water skiing, golfing, and going fishing with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because I know if I adide by the gospel principles, hope and true happiness can be found. There are many things in this life that can make someone happy for a short time, but only by following the example of Jesus Christ can we find lasting happiness. Life will be filled with good times, and maybe times that are not so good. During my oral surgery training I have experienced ups and downs. I know that it may not seem like it, but the difficult times we have in our lives will pass. If we endure our trials well, the gospel teaches us we will be able to live in happiness with our families and God in heaven. This brings peace to my soul, knowing I will be with my wife and children long after this life.

How I live my faith

When I was a kid, I remember my grandma having a picture of Christ on her fridge with a quote. The quote said something like "live you life so when people see you, they are reminded of him." I have the opportunity to work with some of the scouts and young men in my community and church. I hope that I can influence them to be kind, considerate, and service oriented towards others, so when people see them, they are reminded of Christ.
