Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a Dentist, a wife, and hoping to be a mother some day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really like to pull teeth (when it is needed). I love to relieve patients from pain while having fun and doing some surgery in the process. I enjoy seeing many different people each day as a dentist. The more I help patients achieve optimum oral health the more I grow to love them and see how our Heavenly Father loves each one of his children on earth. Singing and playing the piano are some of my favorite hobbies. I love the outdoors as well. Playing board games with family and friends is one of my favorite things to do during the weekend. Something else I love is the Constitution. Our church believes that this document is inspired by God. I love to spend time with my husband. He is my best friend. We have been married eight wonderful years. We have had many blessings in our marriage, but we have not yet been blessed with children. We have tried for many years and have not had success. We have gone through many procedures and are now in the process of trying to adopt. We know we will be parents some day. Our Heavenly Father gives us trials to help us grow stronger. We have faith in Him and know we will receive promised blessings if we try our very best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These blessings may not come in the way we originally anticipated or even in this life, but His blessings are eternal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I received a testimony in my Youth that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. One reason I am still a Mormon today is because I want to live with my family forever. I know this can only be possible through keeping covenants made in the temples of God. I am a Mormon because I love the Lord and am grateful for His sacrifice through the Atonement. He forgives me of my sins and brings me peace through trials and tribulation. I owe Him everything and I want to serve Him until the end. I am a Mormon because living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me much joy. I feel at peace and love life when I keep commandments given to us by Holy prophets of God. I am also comforted that the Priesthood was restored to the earth and I always want the blessings of the priesthood. I want to do what the Lord wants me to do. I know I will be directed in the path I need to go in life by following prophets of old and prophets on earth today. God will also guide me by giving me personal revelation through the Holy Ghost. I love the blessings I receive from being a member of this church. I would not draw as near to my Savior as I have done, and will do, being a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by repenting of my sins, keeping commandments given from God, reading my scriptures daily, praying daily, striving to become like my Savior, serving in the community and within my church. I serve in my church by being a councilor for the women who belong to my congregation. I assist the president of the women in our congregation to strengthen individuals, families and homes. I help plan activities that will inspire, uplift and bring women closer to our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I also help teach women Gospel principles on certain Sundays. I have learned so much from the amazing sisters in my church and have grown closer to my Savior from serving them. I also sing in my church choir. I frequently visit a few sisters in my ward and make sure they are doing well spiritually and temporally. This is called Visiting Teaching. I have grown to love these girls through serving them. I have served in the church in the past by leading Gospel music to children, playing the piano for children on Sundays, teaching children and youth each Sunday and teaching teenagers in a Seminary program. Teaching Seminary each morning of the week to faithful teenagers has been one of my favorite ways to serve the Lord. I taught Seminary at 5:45 a.m. each weekday morning while I was in Dental School. I knew this was what the Lord wanted me to do at this time. I didn't think I was the greatest teacher, but the Lord wanted me to become better and wanted me to learn more about the Old Testament. I learned an amazing amount of doctrine, gained a deeper testimony that Jesus Christ is the Jehovah of the Old Testament, and I learned to love the kids I served. I was blessed to do well in school and felt especially close to God during that period of time. I know that if we desire to draw closer to the Savior, serve Him and learn more about the Gospel, the Lord will provide a way for us. I love Living my Faith!
