Hi I'm Don

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am of French Canadian heritage, but I am the first in my family to be born in the United States. I grew up in Maine and was drafted into the Army as a young man. After a lot of struggling, searching different religions and philosophies and looking for a better way to live, I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while still serving in the Army. This Gospel has completely changed my life. It has presented me with a path of happiness that I never imagined was possible. I have worked in Self-Storage in the United States, Belgium and Hong Kong. My wife is a 4th generation Arizona native and is a descendant of Mormon Pioneers. I am a father of 5 sons and 1 daughter, father-in law of two, and grandfather of 2 1/2!

Why I am a Mormon

The message of the restored gospel so dramatically changed my life that after I got out of the Army I served a mission in Portland, Oregon. I was excited to share this message about Jesus Christ with other people so they could have this same happiness. Every time I see someone join the Church and apply the teachings of Jesus Christ in their lives, I want to shout for joy. One of my greatest blessings is that 4 of my sons have chosen to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Uruguay, France, and Brazil.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have been fortunate to be able to volunteer in many of the organizations of our church. I have particularly enjoyed teaching people about Christ I have worked with the youth, with the Boy Scouts, with young adults and with the elderly members of my church. My passion is researching and learning about my French Canadian ancestors. The more I learn of their lives, the more I am bound to them. This feeling of belonging to my family through many generations, gives me an increased sense of purpose and worth in my own life.
