Hi I'm Chrissy.

I love to travel. I am lucky to move around a lot, being married to an Air Force pilot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play the piano, read, watch musicals, bake, eat ice cream, and go on dates with my wonderful husband. The three people in the world dearest to me, besides my husband, are my three children. I have a daughter and two sons (age 3 1/2 and younger - they keep me busy!). As a family we enjoy traveling a lot, with the children going 12-hour days in the car without too much fuss! I love visiting family. I have a great yearning to be with family (especially immediate) as much as possible, as my father died when I was 9 and it made me value family more than ever. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in accounting and eanred my CPA. I am fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mother though. Growing up I took piano lessons and competed. When I paid my way through college accompanying solo vocalists, choirs, and opera rehearsals, I found I enjoy accompanying much more than solo performance.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a little girl, I used to be afraid that one day I would wake up and realize that a truth I had always understood to be unalterable was false. I would lay awake at night and wonder if I was going to find out the church wasn't true as I grew older and older. I prayed that would never happen! The few days after my father suddenly died were very traumatic to myself and my family. However, I was blessed with an unmistakable assurance and knowledge that my father was indeed in heaven with my Savior and Heavenly Father. The Holy Ghost truly comforted me in that time of trial and gave me the peace to know that what I had been taught about the church in my youth was indeed true. That was the first time I recall my faith in the Lord feeling solid and sure. I have since had many experiences and trials that have solidified my knowledge that the gospel is true and that my Savior does love me and watch over me.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Primary Presidency in my ward. It is a calling I was nervous to accept, but I knew I would be sustained and able to fulfill it if I gave my full effort. Part of my calling involves teaching children ages 3-11. I am not naturally a gifted teacher, but I have tried hard. And I have loved everything I have learned from the children I have endeavored to teach! In the past I have been heavily involved in music, with callings of playing the organ, accompanying the choir, playing in Primary and being the chorister in Primary. My favorite songs are some of the simple, pure songs sung in Primary. I also enjoy visiting teaching and visiting the elderly. I love to bake and share food with those I visit.
