Hi I'm James

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 26 years old and have recently graduated from University in European Studies and Economics. I am looking forward to working in international business and economics to help people all over the world. I love learning about other cultures, their histories, languages, and food. I also love singing and have been blessed with the opportunity to sing in a number of choirs which have helped me to both grow and share my talents with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense. God loves us all and wants us to be happy while we are here on earth and he wants us all to return to live with him in heaven after we die. Just as he has done for thousands of years to benefit past generations, God has called a prophet for our day to help guide us through the challenges that face all of us in this day and age. Even more importantly, He still speaks to us individually and we can feel his love and receive guidance to help us through our personal trials. I have often felt comforted and guided throughout my life and am grateful for the knowledge that God knows me personally and wants the best for me. Another reason I have chosen to be a Mormon is the focus on family. Sometimes it is hard being single in a church that is so focused on being married and having a family, but it has always been a life goal of mine to have a family of my own. It is such a comfort to know that my family will not be only "till death" but for eternity. This is only possible though the Priesthood, the authority to act in God's name on earth, which was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith and has been maintained by worthy Priesthood holders so that is can continue to bless lives today.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church has provided me with a number of opportunities throughout my life to grow and become a better person. I have taught Sunday school classes for both children and adults. I have sung in choirs and acted in plays. I have been able to provide service to friends and neighbors. Currently, I am serving as the executive secretary, which schedules appointments for members of the branch (congregation) with the branch president. In my personal life I read the scriptures and pray and keep a healthy lifestyle by rejecting all addictive substances and habits. This has allowed me to be free to act without vice and be a more capable servant of God.
