Hi I'm Hunter

My name is Hunter. I'm serving a 2 yr mission in Lima Peru'. I love to play tennis and love my family. I"m a Mormon.

About Me

One of my favorite things to do is play tennis. It is such a fun sport! What I love about it is that you can always get better, and you can play forever. For me, tennis is what I do to get away from everything else. When I am on the court, I am in my zone. Another thing I really enjoy is music. There is so much you can do with music! One thing I lucked out with is to have an ear for harmony. I love listening and singing to a wide variety of music. I love making people laugh and love laughing. After my mission I plan on going to school either at NAU (Northern Arizona University) or BYU-I (Brigham Young University Idaho). I don't know what I want to major in yet but, I know The Lord has a plan for me. I can't wait to serve my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I mormon? Simply because I KNOW it is true. While preparing for my mission I really wanted to KNOW if what I'm about to teach for 2 yrs is true. Sure I believed it but, I needed a knowledge. How did I obtain that knowledge? By asking God in prayer. In James 1:5 it reads "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God". I know what you're thinking... "That's just too simple!" or "How will God answer me?". I want to testify to you that it IS simple and God WILL answer you. He is our loving Heavenly Father and wants all of His children to know of the truth. How I got my answer is a sacred experience to me. I will not go too far into detail but I can promise you that I recieved an answer to that prayer. That prayer was given seconds after finishing the Book of Mormon for the first time. There I was, an 18 yr old young man just asking for truth from our Heavenly Father. I prayed as hard as I could, exhorting all of the faith I had, asking Him if The Book of Mormon is true and asking for a sign. I ended my prayer in the name of Jesus Christ and waited for an answer. Not too long after I ended my prayer, something came upon my body. I could not see it but, I could feel it. This feeling was a feeling of comfort, a feeling of peace, and a feeling of love. It was a warm feeling that took me to my knees and rushed through my entire body. I can testify that this was God answering my prayer that The Book of Mormon IS TRUE. I could never deny what happened to me that night. I hold this experience sacred to my heart and hope that you too will read and pray for a knowledge of truth. I promise you, that if you do these things faithfully, you WILL recieve an answer. God loves you. Now go and talk to Him.

How I live my faith

As of right now, I teach all of the 10yr olds every Sunday. I love working with kids. They are so sweet and innocent. Even though they can get a little spastic, I still love each and every one of them. I think it's important to learn at a young age the teachings of God and the example of Jesus Christ.
