Hi I'm Ben Winfield

I'm a husband. I'm a father to 3 wonderful kids. I have lived all over the USA and out of the country. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father first. I strive everyday to love my wife and raise my children in righteousness. My wife of 10 years is my best friend. She helps me be a better person and supports me in all I do. I am currently working full-time and enjoy the challenges my work provides me. I have a home office but travel on occassion throughout the US. I grew up in a wonderful home where I was raised by loving parents. We moved around a lot growing up. We spent time in and out of the country. I think this brought my 3 siblings and I closer together. They became the constant friends through all the change the moves brought. We are still very close to this day and a few of us leave near enough to each other so that our kids can spend time together making great memories with their cousins. I enjoy exercising, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, camping, football, soccer, and yard work. I was able to compete in a mini Triathlon a couple years ago with some of my family members and it was a lot of fun. I've recently taken up road cycling and am enjoying the long straight AZ roads. I hold a Bachelors degree from UVU in International Business and a Masters degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business from ASU in Health Care Administration. I'm an avid ASU fan and try to attend as many of their football games as I can. Go Devils!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and taugt the principles of the gospel all my life. I'm grateful for righteous parents who showed me by example, the way to live a Christ-centered life. I can stand on my own two feet now and declare with conviction that I know the church is true. I am trying to be the kind of example to my kids that my parents were to me. The gospel is a wonderful thing. It helps bring direction, answers, comfort, guidance, assurity, and stability in this uncertain world. I truly don't know where I would be without the gospel. I am always happy to share my beliefs and testimony with any who are open to hearing.

How I live my faith

I have served in the church all of my life. I was blessed to serve a full-time mission to England and often reflect on those impressionable days with much gratitude. I enjoy teaching the gospel principles to children and adults young and old. One of my most favorite callings was to teach the 14-15 years olds. They are at such a critical stage in their lives, it was wonderful to see how the gospel could help provide answers to the challenges they faced daily. I currently serve in a what some might think of as more of a temporal position. Since we have no paid clergy, we the members have to help with all aspects of keeping the church running. This includes the accounting of the church's finances. I spend most of my Sundays making sure the Stake's monies are being utilized appropriately and that people are being reimbursed for church related activities. It has been my privelege to see first hand how the Lord takes care of his people with the sacred Tithes and Offerings collected.
