Hi I'm Emma

Cared for my dying mother at the age 9 and raised two brother. When I thought my life was over, the church found me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Although my kids are under the age of 6, I am a seasoned mother. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was 9. I was the one who cared for her and 2 brother until she died. I was 15 then. I thought my world had come to an end that day. I started drinking at the age of 15. Exactly a year later, the church found me and saved me/changed my life forever. I am so lucky! I am wife to a great man and mother to twin "big" girls and a sweet baby girl. My husband and I have been students for most of our married life. We are close to the finish line now. It's been a wild-difficult-crazy-happy-you-name-it ride. But, we are happy...we are together...we have each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because of the belief that families can be together again. That I can see my mother again. That I can hug her again. I stayed a Mormon because the belief that families can be together forever became even stronger once I got married. My husband and I have so much love for each other, we treat each other with such tenderness. I don't that to end. I want to be with him forever. I want to with my great kids forever. Life is great because of them!

How I live my faith

I am actively engaged in my community. I take pleasure in caring for neighbors, strangers, friends...whenever they need a meal, babysitting, you name it. I love to see a smile on a person's face when I show up with something delicious at their doorstep when they need it the most! I have taught Sunday School to teenagers for the past year and it is there where I find myself very much in my element. I know how to chat with them, I get along with their parents. It's just great. It's my element! I love it!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

NO! We help everyone! We are all sons and daughters of God and we are here in the Earth to serve as instruments to His miracles! Show more Show less
