Hi I'm Susan

I have a Masters Degree & I work with older adults, but my favorite moments are spent with my husband and 4 boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have two adopted sons, now teenagers, and two biological sons. After struggling for 14 years with infertility we are so blessed by these amazing boys. Raising children is not easy, and raising children with special needs (Asperger's, ADHD & Down Syndrome) has its share of complications, but the joy we feel when we see them learn and progress is priceless. We love singing together, hiking, geocaching, and reading. I love digital scrapbooking, graphic design and baking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Lutheran church, and discovered the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was a Graduate Student in Texas. Reading about our Savior Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon really touched my heart, and I knew that the writings in the Book of Mormon came from God. I love the teachings about the family - how my family can be together forever. My mother died when I was 20 years old, but I know that I will see her again, and that the family relationships we developed here on Earth will continue after we leave this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service to others. I am blessed to work in the Senior Care Industry serving patients recovering from accident or injury and their families. I love spending time teaching and serving my children and extended family. I also love serving at Church, leading our Nursery Program for children aged 18 months - 3 years old.
