Hi I'm Jill

I'm a Pastry Chef who majored in Advertising. I'm married to the man of my dreams. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I did most of my growing up in the Denver area and loved it. Going sledding in the morning and playing soccer in shorts by the afternoon = best weather ever! Being the oldest I trudged off to college for a new experience. I majored in Biophysics for a couple years before switching to Communications: Advertising. I still love science and am a little geeky that way. During college I had three internships - Denver, New York, Salt Lake City - that taught me a lot about life and a lot about myself. One internship turned into a career and I was on my way. However, God had a different plan for me and kept nudging me to return to Denver and I am sure glad I did. Two days after moving there I met a smart, funny, charming, handsome man. Luckily, he felt the same way about me. He got my number two days later, two days after that we went on our first date and then saw each other every following day. We were married in the beautiful Denver Temple. My husband likes to call me his sugar mama because I am putting him through school by working as a pastry chef. My experience gained by using it as a means to my own self through college. I enjoy motorcycles, rock climbing, football, basketball, running, ultimate Frisbee, playing games, laughing, reading, dancing, music, and learning new things. I love the Lord. I love my Husband. I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I have had questions, doubts, fears, problems, and bad experiences. However, during these times whether seemingly small or of great consequence I went to the only place I knew to go. I fell on my knees and prayed and cried with all my might, heart, and soul. I reached out to the Lord and he picked me up. He sent comfort through the spirit to touch my soul, sent peace to my mind, and calmed my trembling body. During each of these moments - whether it be desiring a blessing, seeking repentance, looking for answers, confronting my fears or needing comfort while in danger - my Savior and my Heavenly Father were there for me. Every time. Everything may not have turned out as I hoped but everyone has agency and can use it as they wish. I can us mine to come closer to my Savior to repent of the things I need to work on. I come closer to the Savior by being a member of the LDS church because the doctrines taught speak truth to my mind and my soul. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

My husband and I teach doctrines and principles of the New Testament to other people just like us. I love the comments and insights they share that deepen my understanding and help me further understand our Savior.
