Hi I'm Mark Anderson

I'm the CFO for a dental insurance company and love to golf, hike, and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since graduating from college in 1986 I've lived in Phoenix, Arizona and worked as a CPA in public and privite accounting. I currently work as the CFO of the dental insurance company and serve on several professional and charitable boards. I enjoy serving in my community and church. Some of my hobbies include golfing, tennis, hiking, volleyball, photography and watching my children participate in their various activities. I've hiked across and in the Grand Canyon several times and continue to be amazed at the grandeur of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon church since childhood and continue to feel that it is a great blessing in my life. The principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ have provided purpose, direction and happiness in my life. When my father died 15 years ago I faced new questions that caused me to search for reassurance of God's plan for me. I found those answers and much needed comfort in the teachings of Jesus Christ and his plan of happiness. Now, with a neice that is battling cancer, those same teachings bring comfort and stregth to me and my extended family. The teachings about family relationships (marriage) continuing into eternity is one of the most important truths that I have grown to appreciate and charish.

How I live my faith

I love the association of friends and family in the church. The church provides so many opportunties to give service with its emphasis on volunteer leadership. I've had opportunties to work with the youth and civic leaders in our area as we've joined with the City of Phoenix and various businesses to assist in revitalizing certain communities. I also volunteer as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America which has partnered with the church to provide activities for our young men that help build character in their lives. The weekly Sunday services I attend provide the important boost I need to stay focused on what's really important in my life.
