Hi I'm Robert Olmstead

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a firefighter, and boy scout leader, a cyclist, a wrestling coach, a photographer, a gamer, a nerd, a husband, and a father of seven. I enjoy sports, laughing out loud, sharing time with friends and family, surfing the net, and gaming online.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ is an anchor in a noisy, angry world. When I first heard the lessons of the church I was a 17 year-old young man with no real beliefs but a lot of ideas about how things should be in the church of the Savior. As I learned about the Mormon church the things I heard matched with my own ideas and I felt as if I was coming home after being away. Twenty seven years later I am still a Mormon because I believe now more strongly than ever that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be better each day than the one before. I serve as a Boy Scout leader for 14 and 15 year-old young men, helping to teach them skills that will aid them in becoming successful adults. I serve where I am needed, when and how I can.
