Hi I'm David Jay

I am a law student with a passion for justice. I love my family. I love my country. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a first year law student anxiously awaiting the day I finish law school so that I might pass the bar and become a City Prosecutor. I am passionate about the law and justice and about keeping my loved ones happy and safe. I have a beautiful wife and a handsome young son and feel that I am the luckiest man earth. I like to push my limits whether that consists of me achieving a personal record for a three mile run or see how many times in a row I can throw a piece of crumpled up paper into the trash can across the room. I love sports; soccer, football, basketball, baseball, golf, table tenis, foosball, underwater basket-weaving, or anything else that one can compete in. Hunting, Hiking, Camping, Dutch Oven Cooking, are all hobbies of mine. I spent many years during my undergrad moonlighting as a carpenter and it is very relaxing for me to spend a saturday in my garage working with my tools, painting or sanding furnature or anything else I can get my hands on.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! The principles I learned from the church as I have grown up have kept me happy, healthy, and safe. I have learned how to work hard and be honest with my fellow men and I try my hardest to apply these principles to everyday situations that I find myself faced with and its all thanks to the teachings of the gospel and the help of my Heavenly Father. I love Him and I am grateful for the blessings he has given me and for the lessons I have learned. I am grateful for my wonderful family and am so blessed for their love and support and for the examples that they are to me. God loves us all and he wants us to be happy and to chose the right and it is by obedience to his commandments that we are blessed and can truely be happy.

How I live my faith

I am convinced that my faith is the reason why I am the way I am. I don't feel that life has thrown me one too many curve balls, but there are times when things seem pretty bleak and it doesn't seem that we are going to make our monthly payments, or if another painful or depressing situation will ever end. During those times I am constantly reminded of the previous times when I have felt like that and everything turned out okay. Other times it is a struggle to keep my priorities balanced with school, family, church, and other responsibilities, but everything always seems to work out in the end. I have so much to be grateful for and I know that God loves me and is always looking out for me.
