Hi I'm Emily

I like to try new things and being outdoors. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third child of 4 children. I really love my family and doing fun things with them. I love to camp, bike, hike, rock climb, snowboard, and pretty much anything outdoors. I like adventure. Singing is also something I enjoy doing. I love having fun, even if it includes getting covered in mud, playing with shaving cream, or getting drenched with water. I've been skydiving and it was AWESOME. Currently, I am serving in the Viña Del Mar, Chile mission. It's already amazing!! I love studying the scriptures and meeting new people. I know God lives and that He loves all of us very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a house where I was taught the gospel all through my life. For me, I never really questioned if the church was true, I just accepted it and went along with it. I've never really questioned it, but I have had adversity in my life that has helped my testimony grow. Like everyone, I've had challenges, but I try to make them into growing opportunities. I'm grateful for the many examples that have come before me and people who I look up to and inspire me. I guess what's impacted me the most is the sense of loneliness I have felt through certain periods of time, loss of friends, and so forth. Through feeling that loneliness, those were some of the times when I felt God's love the most in my life when I prayed to Him and poured out my soul. Through growing up with the gospel, it's hard to imagine where I would be without it in my life. I know that the gospel makes me happy when I try to live it and I wish everyone could have that happiness! I testify that the God loves all His children and wants us to return home.

How I live my faith

Because I am home until I leave for my mission, I have the opportunity to be a primary teacher. Such a blessing! I am with the six year olds in the ward, and it's so amazing to see them participate and tell what they believe in even though they are so young. I love being around these children.
