Hi I'm Khalina

I'm a Washington highschool student who loves hugs, laughs, and smiles. I'm a Mormon! ^_^

About Me

I want you to imagine a circle. Now imagine 2 smaller black circles in the first circle. Now imagine a line curving upwards on the ends under those two black circles inside the larger first circle. What do you see? Hopefully, a smile, or possibly a distorted cookie with only two chocolate chips in it. But, you’re meant to see a smile. ;-) One of my number one priorities in life is to smile. Being a 15 year old freshman girl, I have the stresses and worries that a common girl my age goes through, mostly involving school and the people and things surrounding it. But as I’ve continued to grow as a person, especially in the last couple of years, I’ve learned that a happiness, gratitude, and love are some of the most important things in my life. Now in high school, a huge amount of negativity, complaints, and pride is suddenly everywhere I turn. But the best thing I can do, not only for myself, but also others, is remembering to keep a happy grin on my face, and remember to say thank you for every single little thing someone does for me. As well as being happy or amusing myself, I love to draw, create art in all sorts of forms, write nonsense, and simply daydream. With so much beauty in this world, I can’t help but sometimes drift away in thought or imagination. I’m also a naturally cuddly person, open for a hug from practically anyone, and I LOVE to laugh… sometimes too much. With having such wonderful friends and family, I am who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were married and sealed in the temple, and so i (as well as my younger brother) was born and raised with the gospel in my life. I am a Mormon because of the truthfulness of it. I know I can receive comfort and understanding from the scriptures. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and I am his daughter. I know he created this world for me, and gave me my agency to learn and grow from my experiences. I know things happen for a reason and that my Savior loves me and atoned for me. From other members of the LDS church, I can learn and feel a love and happiness that strengthens my testimony every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through being an example to everyone. I show my example by being positive and happy, and trying to love everyone. I make a conscious effort to pray every morning and night and to read my scriptures daily. Every Sunday my family and I attend church. On school days I wake up at 4:45 to attend seminary in the morning. On Wednesday nights I go to mutual (our youth nights) and attend Young Womens for the young women ages 12-18.
