Hi I'm Elizabeth

I am a mother of 4, a Realtor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 15 years and have four children. I had always been a stay at home mom up until 6 months ago. Circumstances changed and I felt like I needed to be able to help support my family. I took a real estate class (which was very scary since I hadn't been to school in years). I made it through with a lot of prayer, studying, and about 1000 flash cards. Now I am a full time mom and a Realtor with RE/MAX. I must say being a working mom is not easy! I am learning to adjust and balance all my different responsibilities. Before I started working I enjoyed reading, hanging out with friends, and making jewelry. I am hoping someday to have time to enjoy those things again.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom and dad joined the church as adults and I was born into a Mormon family. I grew up going to church every week and learning about it in my home. As a child I always believed the things my parents taught me and what I learned at church. When I was 14 I felt like I needed to find out for myself. One day the Mormon Missionaries were having dinner at our house. One of the Missionaries asked me if I had ever read the Book of Mormon by myself and prayed to know if it was true. My answer was "no". He challenged me to read it and told me if I did and prayed Heavenly Father would let me know if it was true. I took the challenge and read the whole thing. Once I finished I really wanted an answer so I decided to Fast and Pray to know if it was true. We have a fast Sunday the first Sunday of every month and our main meeting is special that week. Anyone in the congregation can stand and share their testimonies. As I was sitting there listening to the testimonies of others and thinking about what I was fasting for I felt the Holy Ghost very strong. I stood up to share my testimony. As I was sharing my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ my prayers were answered and I knew the Book of Mormon was true. I became very emotional with tears streaming down my cheeks. Heavenly Father had answered me a 14 year old girl. I have always know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true ever since then. I have had many other experiences in my life that have confirmed it over the years. Living the teachings of this church has blessed my life in more ways than I could list. I can not imagine my life without it. I find so much strength in living the standards that Christ teaches. I know that I am a child of God and that he loves me. I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and that he suffered for my sins so that I can repent and try to become more like him. Life has more meaning with the knowledge I have been blessed with and I am deeply grateful.

How I live my faith

My religion is an active one. There are so many ways to live it. My end goal is to gain as many Christ like attributes as possible. I think one of the key ways to do that is through service. Right now I get to work with and serve the Youth ages 12-18. I mainly work with the girls but I get to interact with the boys too. I help teach them and plan all types of activities for them to participate in. They learn values to live by, life skills, how to provide service to others, leadership skills, and much more. I spend an hour on Sundays and every Wed evening with those amazing girls. The youth program is great! It helps them stay strong and make good choices in a troubled world. I am blessed to have 2 children involved in it.
