Hi I'm Norberto M. Ramirez

I love music and dancing. I enjoy studying a wide variety of things. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the California Arcadia Mission. Before the mission I spent most of my time studying. Most of my studies leaned towards ancient Mesoamerica and cognitive styles. I enjoy dancing and spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a time of intense racial tension. The negative stereotypes that were placed on me lead to much anger and bitterness in my soul. So much so that I soon fell into those stereotypes and was completely cut off from my Father in Heaven by the actions I took. As I continued to take negative actions and be acted upon, I grew further and further away from the light. One day the consequences of my actions caught up to me. I realized all that I had done had brought forth no joy. I noticed I had completely lost all spirituality. In my search to bring spirituality back into my life I investigated many religions. The L.D.S. church had an answer for every question I had. As I studied the Book of Mormon, there was a familiar feeling. I later came to know that it was a history of my ancestors. There in my hands was that which I had been looking for. It is a testimony of a loving Heavenly Father. It taught me that I was a descendant of God's chosen people. That I am a child of the almighty and should live as such. It allowed The Holy Ghost to touch my soul and bring forth that spirituality that I had cut off. It helped me understand Jesus the Christ and the atonement. All the money and worldly thing I had obtained gave me no happiness like the joy that I receive from being an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has changed me and put me on the path that will reunite me with our Father in Heaven and permit me to dwell with him for eternity.

How I live my faith

Since becoming an active member of the church, I have been given many opportunities to serve God's children. By doing so, I have learned who I was and know now who I am. As I see the joy in the faces of those whom the hand of the Lord has touched, I myself find great joy in knowing that I am permitted to take part of His work. As I study the Book of Mormon and the history of Mesoamerica, my testimony strengthens, witnessing how they go hand in hand. As I study the scriptures and apply the Lord's teachings into my life, I am strengthened both spiritually and intellectually. My ability to comprehend the things of this existence has been a gift from our Father in Heaven so that he may use me as a tool in gathering his sheep. As I have grown from the experiences that I have received from correctly exercising my right to choose, He has seen it fit to place me in positions of leadership in His church. I now have the opportunity to help those in need, both spiritually and temporally. I also have been entrusted to find and help those that are in similar circumstances that I myself was in, find their way back to our Heavenly Father. I love to bare my testimony. When presented with the opportunity, I am able to speak it with conviction that which has been manifested unto me.
