Hi I'm Jodi

I'm a kindergarten teacher. I'm a mom of three teenagers. I'm a wife of an English teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a kindergarten teacher. People often say, "I don't know how you do it. You must be a special person to do what you do every day.'" My secret is my belief that children are precious in the sight of God. It has everything to do, not only with how I do my job, but why I love my job." I feel divine help when I pray for the needs of my students or when I pray for that extra measure of patience. That is how I do what I do every day. I'm nothing special, but I know that the kids that I teach are. I feel like I have been entrusted with a great treasure and responsibility; one that I don't have to carry alone. Heavenly Father shows special care for me because I am caring for his little ones. "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd and gently lead those that are with young." Isaiah

Why I am a Mormon

It is the religion I was raised with by parents who loved me and taught me about the inner strength and fortitude that comes from faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't have to go through life unsure of my path. I don't have to be afraid of what the world dishes out to me because I know I am supported when I'm doing what is right. Everything that I love and believe and look forward to is woven in the fabric of this religion. It is my heritage, my life and will be my legacy. It is my family, my conduit to diety and the essence of my self.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as a youth leader. I have stewardship of about 30 girls, ages 12-18. I plan activities for them, teach them, pray for them, and counsel them. We have a lot of fun together and I enjoy their individuality, personality and strength. They're awesome!
