Hi I'm Richard

I grew up in southern Arizona. I graduated from Arizona State University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I the second child of eight. I've been involved in the Boy Scouts of America most of my life. I'm Wood Badge trained. I'm an Eagle Scout. I'm a Silver Beaver recipient. I've served in most positions in the scouting program. My wife and I have a large, blended family. I enjoy fishing, boating and hiking. My wife and I have served two full-time missions for the Church. We first went to the Philippines and then later to Fiji. We have 15 children, 68 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church all of my life. I have a strong testimony of it's teachings. I have served in many capacities within the Church. I accept the Plan of Salvation that teaches me where I came from, why I'm here and where I'm going when I die. I'm looking forward to having my family together forever. I have a strong desire to follow the Savior, Jesus Christ and keep God's commandments.

How I live my faith

I have always this quote from one of my favorite modern-day prophets, Spencer W. Kimball: "My life is like my shoes-to be worn out in service”. I have always been willing to serve others and have found joy that comes from giving.
