Hi I'm Michele

I am from Fort Collins, Co. I am self employed in disaster restoration, mother of four, and grandmother of seven. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and the blessings of living each and every day. My family brings to me my greatest joy and it is in those wonderful relationships that I devote the majority of my time. I went to school to be a dental assistant and enjoyed that carreer for many years. I have also worked for the airlines, enjoying the wonderful opportunity to travel. As a family we have worked together in business. I love the close bonds that have been formed through working hard together as a family. I have four married children that I admire greatly. Motherhood was very rewarding for me. I enjoyed each step of the journey and treasure the years that my husband and I spent raising a family. Even though my children are grown, we are still able to spend much time together. One of our favorite family activities is softball. Even at fifty five years old I still play second base for the family team each summer. They may just be keeping me on out of respect. My greatest joy however is that of being a grandmother. I have seven beautiful grandchildren that are the joy of my life. We bake cookies, have sleep overs, ride bikes and a host of other activities together. I thought that motherhood was wonderful, but grandmotherhood is pure delight.

Why I am a Mormon

,I was born into a Mormon family, however everyone at one time or another has to find out for themselves about God, about why they are here, and where they are going. For me the doctrines of the Mormon Church as I studied them out and applied their teachings just made sense. They answered my questions as to where I came from, why do I exist, and especially what is the end result of our efforts here. I found that as I lived the teachings and doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that I felt happy, safe, complete, and at peace. Through being a Mormon I have come to know Jesus Christ as my Savior and understood more about his great atonement in a very personal way. I find that when trials and difficulties come I am able to lean on that testimony and find great faith and comfort in understanding the bigger picture. I know that because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, all things will be made right. That He makes up the difference for the things we can't get right, and in that knowledge there is great hope. I love the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true. I read it daily and it along with the Bible helps to guide my life. I am grateful for a living Prophet. How wonderful to know that God loves us today just as he loved his children of ancient times so much so that he hasn't left us to roam alone. There is a Prophet today just as in times of old to guide, to direct, and to warn. I find comfort in that. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has brought truth, purpose, and great joy into my life. I know that I am a daughter of God and being a Mormon has helped me to know better how much my Father in Heaven loves me.

How I live my faith

My husband is a Bishop to a congregation of young single adults between the ages of 18 and 32 years old. These are the most wonderful young people in the world. Their standards are inspiring. They are filled with faith and testimony and we love serving with them. Much of our time is spent with these great people. We help them serve others in our community. We have many wonderful events that we attend together, dances, conferences, religion classes, and other fun filled activities. We feel so blessed to have all 120 or so of them in our lives. It is awe inspiring to watch them follow in the Saviors footsteps, to love and help others as Christ would if he were here. Their enthusiasm for life is contagious. I love them with all of my heart and am so grateful for this time we have together. Most of our young people are away from home attending college. I try to help them feel like a caring mom isn't so far away, give lots of hugs, and of course I bake lots of cookies.
