Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in Arizona. I own and operate a Therapeutic Massage business from home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have seven children, own and operate a therapuetic massage business out of my home, enjoy being with my family and traveling. When I was younger I was active in school sports, hiking club, and orchestra. I enjoy taking pictures and making them into home movies. I like to talk with people and hear about what they have done in their lives...everyone has a unique story and I realize that we can allow our struggles to make us better or bitter. It is up to us to give our life direction with what we are given. Heavenly Father is always there for us and He wants to bless our lives, but we need to ask Him in humility and be willing to accept His will. I like to remind myself and others not to forget to notify our faces when we are happy. If we look back over our lives we can all find experiences that were hard to get through, but helped to strengthen us and form us into the person we have become. I think that we are all diamonds in the rough and each time we overcome a trial we knock off some of the edges and become more refined and more like the person that God knows we are. One of my favorite quotes is from Mother Teresa, "'If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

Why I am a Mormon

I remember wondering if I had been born into another family if I would belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I went to Catechism with a friend when I was young and she came with me to Primary. My father was a reverend of a Religious Science Church and taught me to love people by seeing them as God intended them. My mother was faithful in taking me to the Mormon church meetings and taught me about faith in Jesus Christ. I enjoy visiting with people about beliefs and am always impressed with the sweet spirit of someone bearing their testimony about Jesus Christ. I have come to know the peaceful feeling of a strong testimony and feeling the confidence that my Savior has in me. I know that if the Lord brings me to a difficult situation He will take me through it and I will become more of who He knows that I am. I am grateful to know of the Plan of Happiness, that part of that plan is to come to earth and receive a body of flesh and bones. A body that has emotions, sensations of pain and pleasure, health and sickness, need and satisfaction. Those are all things that our spirits had not experienced before coming to earth. All of these experiences are for us to learn from and to help us become the best we can be. When we are feeling discouraged, angry, depressed, hopeless, afraid, etc., we probably need to make some changes in our life to be more in alignment with God's commandments. We can pray for strength and it will come. When we are happy, at peace, joyful, etc we are on the right path and we can know that we are doing the things that will help us return to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to work with young women in our area. They are strong and capable and have a desire to serve others and God. We plan and participate in events to help build their testimonies, increase their knowledge of the scriptures, build skills to help them now and in their future homes and to improve their talents. We have invited older people in the community to a dinner with the youth and then provided entertainment with skits, singing and instrumental music. We have given service to those in need with yard cleaning or just visiting with them. I try to live my life in a way that others will be able to feel God's love for them by what I say and how I act. Most people are doing the best they can and I know that by having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life I am blessed. I love my Savior and am amazed at the love he must have for me...for each one of us... to suffer as he did in the Garden of Gethsemane and to allow himself to be crucified. I am grateful for the atonement and for repentance. Because of the love I feel for my Savior I try to help in my community to help things be positive. I have given service within my community by helping out with the community owned water service, Friends of the Library, Parent/Teacher and Student Organization, Marching Band, Cub Scouts, Tee-Ball, Garden Club, etc. One of my favorite activities is our annual "Little Town of Bethlehem" which is open to everyone to experience the wonder of the birth of Christ. I try to follow the example Jesus set for us in all areas of life. We are our brother's keeper and are the hands and feet of the Lord for our brothers and sisters.
