Hi I'm Dave

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Dave and I'm a Mormon. I am the second oldest of 6 children and grew up in a loving family with good parents. That is not to say we didn't have arguments, fights, and trials. lol. I am engaged to a beautiful lady named Melissa and counting the days until we will be married. I am a Mechanical Engineer working in the steel manufacturing business. This job is hot, dirty, and surround by molten steel. On the other hand, one could say, the job is full of excitement, opportunities, and challenges. Like most things in life, it's how we view things, that make all the differences. There is one thing we always have control over and that is our attitudes. I like to start each day off with a positive and upbeat attitude. My hobbies and interest include: fishing, boating, gardening, hiking, and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the great joy and happiness that comes with living gospel principles. When we center our lives around the teaching of our Savior Jesus Christ, life becomes so much more meaningful and rewarding. Life brings trials to everyone, but if our foundation is built on gospel principles, Jesus Christ, and faith, we will learn from our trials and grow closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I testify that this is true. Trials have strengthened me, drawn me closer to my children, closer to my ward family and friends. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me, he knows my strengths and weaknesses, and he wants me to be happy. He wants eternal happiness for me and you. The only way this is possible, is to test us and give us opportunities to learn and prove ourselves. I have seen the blessing that come through following the teaching of our Savior Jesus Christ, his servants the Prophets, and worthy Priesthood leaders.

How I live my faith

I try and live my life to set an example for my children, family and friends. I am far from perfect and need my Savior each day to strengthen me. I include prayer in my daily activities. Prayer brings guidance, forgiveness, and peace into my day. Prayer is a true blessing our Father in Heaven has given us. To communicate with him and to know that he hears and answers our prayers. I try to include scriptures study in my drive to work by listening to CDs. This is a great start to the day. It puts me in the proper mind set before my busy work schedule. I love my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know that he love me, blesses me, and teaches me. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. It is the true church today which Jesus Christ established in the world.
