Hi I'm Caroline.

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm an artist. I love to cook. I love my family.

About Me

I graduated from BYU last year and now live in Texas with my husband and son. My husband is attending law school here and I am planning to start my Masters in Community Counseling this coming year. I love being a mom and a wife! It has changed my life in so many ways and made me a better person. Family is everything to me. I love trying out new recipes and restaurants, enjoy playing and watching sports(especially basketball) and am very in touch with my creativity. I love doing calligraphy and all kinds of crafts. I also took piano lessons for 14 years and love playing when I have the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the knowledge I have gained through my church about Christ has changed my life for the better. I have developed a strong, personal friendship with him through difficult challenges and experiences that I have gotten through by His helping hand and grace. He is my Counselor and best friend, and I have learned to turn to Him for everything. I know that the Atonement is absolutely real and that Christ can literally change people completely. A very meaningful quote to me is, "The world would take people out of the slums, but Christ takes the slums out of people." I strongly believe that no one has ever gone too far and there is always a way back to God and to true peace and happiness. The values and standards that are taught in the Mormon Church are truth and have made me a stronger person. I have learned that as I live by them on an everyday basis that I feel full joy in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by nourishing my testimony and beliefs daily. I read my scriptures frequently, and I try to always have a prayer in my heart to help me remember what is most important everyday. I also live my faith by serving others which could include taking them a dinner when they are sick or just had a baby, or even just having a deep, real conversation with someone who is going through difficulties. I also live my faith by not judging others, and accepting them for who they are. I strive everyday to see others as Christ would see them. I want to become a counselor so that I can continue to serve others and help those who need it. I serve in our children's Sunday School class at church (we call it "primary") and love this opportunity. I teach these young children about Christ and know that these earliest memories of learning about Jesus will be valuable to them because they were for me.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Caroline.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, we cannot stop the spread of pornography; it is like a disease and I think, a plague that is destroying many families and individuals. Every person will have to confront it at some point because it is everywhere. Because it is a powerful brain drug, it is very difficult to stop this addiction. However, there is a lot of hope. Just like a disease, there are some things we can do to protect and treat ourselves and our families. I think the most important thing is that parents and families are very open about this challenge. Feelings of fear and shame only keep pornography use thriving. 12-step meetings, working with a therapist, a spiritual leader, and setting up personal boundaries are also very important.
