Hi I'm Heather

I am a wife, a mom, and a private violin and piano teacher. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom and a private piano and violin teacher. I got my bachelors degree in Music with an emphasis in Instrumental Music Education. I love music of all types. I love the way music has the power to transform a moment into something extraordinary. Part of my love of music is what makes my teaching enjoyable as I watch my students learn to create their own music and gain confidence in their own abilities. Besides music, I enjoy sewing, crafting, cooking and cake decorating...pretty much anything that makes my home feel like a place I want to be with my fun little family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into a family where my parents are members of the Mormon church. As I grew up I really didn't have some incredible "aha" moment where I knew that the church was true. It's been in little things that have happened along my path that have made me know that the gospel is true. I just knew that it felt right and that any other idea or theology just didn't seem quite right for me. Other religions have elements that rang true with me, but those elements were always included in the Mormon church as well. I feel blessed that I have had God's hand in my life. There have been many times when I needed to lean on Him in my life; from when I had major back surgery and had to re-learn how to walk, to being blessed with giving birth to my beautiful children, and losing my grandma to whom I was very close. I know because of the gospel that Heavenly Father loves and cares for me and all His children and that He wants our happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children to be good citzens and volunteering in my son's school. I also play the piano for the Women's class in church.
