Hi I'm Roz Casey

I have lived in Brisbane all my life. I'm a housewife and home-maker.. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I now live on the southside of Brisbane in the outer suburb of Logan. I have a keen interest in self sufficiency. I have a small vege garden and backyard chickens that bring a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction as I collect my harvest. I also enjoy learning various crafts and am presently learning Bobbin Lacemaking.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my childhood my parents never took me to church but had taught me christian values. Then one Easter as a teenager, I felt the desire to attend a church service of my then christened religion, Church of England. Though I did not atttend regularly I determined to go at Easter and Christmas when I could. When I had been married a couple of years, I meet the Missionaries, they had this something special that eminated from them (the Spirit) and I said to myself I want that in my life. This was the beginning of a wonderful journey of understanding the Purpose of this Earth Life, and that Heavenly Father had a Plan for me to return to Him again, and that this life is part of this plan. He has provided a Prophet to lead and direct us, the scriptures to teach us. I have a testimony that this is the Lord's true church on earth. I can have the Spirit bless my life as I strive to live the principles of the gospel, it is a wonderful fulfilling feeling knowing that what you are striving to live is true.

How I live my faith

A standard I set for myself was to always be reliable and consistent. This was my way of showing Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that I would always keep try to give my best efforts in all aspects of my life, both serving in the church and in the home or the community. As my understanding of the gospel (the love that Heavenly Father & the Saviour have for me) increases I am humbled and see the need to try even harder to over come my shortcomings.
