Hi I'm Britney

I stay at home to raise my son and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. In college I received my degree in Elementary Education. I taught first grade for two years before having my first child. Now I stay at home while my husband finishes medical school. I love to craft, read juvenile and young adult literature, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy watching college football and trying new recipes. I love to travel, visit museums, and take pictures. I'm generally a quiet and shy person, but I also like having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that have been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for generations, but that doesn't mean that I continue to be a member because of tradition or convenience. I have chosen to remain faithful to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ because I believe in it with a very strong conviction. I have studied the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and have a testimony that He atoned for the world's sins and loves us. I believe that the prophet Joseph Smith restored Christ's true gospel to the earth and that we are still led today by a true prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson. I feel the greatest measure of peace and happiness when I follow the principles given to me by the Book of Mormon and present day revelation from God. The problems and trials I experience in life as well as the weaknesses I've been given have helped me to strengthen my faith in my Savior and in my Heavenly Father. I choose to be a Mormon because it makes me happy and gives me perfect direction in my life because of the perfect example of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My involvement in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints affects every aspect of my life and gives me continuous reminders of what life is all about. I give service to my church while serving as a secretary of a group of women who live in my area. It's like a part time job. I look for opportunities to make meals for families who are in need, babysit for women who need a break, and volunteer in community events. I visit two women every month who are members of my church. I talk with them about their lives and teach small lessons that pertain to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love to attend the Lord's temple in Columbus Ohio at least once a month so that I can be reminded of the promises I've made with God to live my life a certain way. I attend monthly social activities in my church where members have fun and/or learn about the gospel aside from Sunday meetings. I commit so much of my time to living my Faith because it makes me a better wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
