Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in Louisiana. I'm a father of 5 children. I'm an Orthopaedic surgeon, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Louisiana and love all things LSU! Since we were married, my wife and I have lived in many areas of the USA. I recently started a practice in orthopedic surgery and specialize in sports medicine. I love to play basketball, flag football, and softball depending on the season. And since golf is in season all the time, I play that too! I am married and have 5 children. We love to camp, swim, and play video games together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has blessed my life in every way. My faith in the Lord Jesus Christ continues to grow on a daily basis as I live the teachings of Jesus. He is the center of my life, and I am grateful to serve Him as a member of His church. I find tremendous happiness and peace in knowing that I can live to see Him again. And if we remain faithful, my family and I can be together forever in His kingdom.

How I live my faith

Right now, I work with the young men (ages 12-18) of the church. We meet together not only on Sundays during church services, but also every Wednesday during the week. I am always amazed at their dedication to the Savior Jesus Christ. Every call to serve is met with great enthusiasm. We have fun playing sports, swimming, and serving the elderly in our community. And of course, we love to cook...and eat! We also participate in scouting activities with the Boy Scouts of America. This includes campouts and merit badge classes. Teaching them the basics of first aid and fire safety can be challenging, but nothing is more satisfying than seeing them accomplish their goals. I also sing in the local church choir and play basketball with some of the other men in the church every week. Other than that, I try to live my faith on a daily basis by being nice to others and trying to make someone's day better.
