Hi I'm Roy

I have been a Mormon all my life. I am also a husband, father, and grandfather. My am a building contractor in Phoenix, Arizona.

About Me

I have been married for thirty five years and have five adult children with families of their own. I make a living by remodeling and constructing buildings. I enjoy hiking and working in my yard. I also like to read and follow sports and current events.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon church all my life. My testimony of this work was gained the same way anyone finds the truth, by study, prayer and service. I am grateful to the Savior, Jesus Christ, for his example and atonement. I am sure that my life is better for having tried to follow the Savior's example. It brings me peace and comfort knowing the Lord is near as we navigate through the rocky road of life. I love spending time with my family. They bring me much joy and satisfaction. One of the beautiful truths of Christ's gospel is that the family unit can be eternal and continue is the next life. I can think of nothing better than to enjoy my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by treating others as I would like to be treated. Christ taught us how to live by his actions and his teachings. He taught us to serve others and be kind. In our world today we are influenced to take advantage of each other and to blame others for our problems. Christ taught us to love each other and to take personal responsibility for our lives and actions. I am not perfect by any means, but try each day to make decisions that would please our Lord and bless others lives. I like to volunteer my time to organize activities and service projects for our church. It is good for me to be around good people doing wholesome activities.
