Hi I'm Heather

I grew up in Texas, and I didn't appreciate my beliefs until they were tested. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had friends of all ethnicity's and background. I find have the ability to love anyone without judging, and trait I gained from my wonderful mother. I'm a dog person, and I love all things crafty. I have been married for a year and I'm still truly happy and madly in love with my husband. We are not parents yet, but we do not feel pressured by anyone who truly loves us. We have experienced a miscarriage, but with that came the joy that we had more potential for our relationship to continue growing. Faith is the only reason, we didn't mourn a loss. We know the plan of salvation, and our family will be together forever. I feel my Savior's love, the love he freely gives me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because through trial and error I have discovered the Gospel of Jesus Christ keeps me happy. I find myself overwhelmed with wonderful feelings when I am trying hard to please God and follow his commandments. It helps to know that someone will always be there for me. Following Christ's commandments that he has given us through his prophets has helped me overcome trials I have faced personally, or with my new family. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I know this is best way to grow closer to Christ and be eternally happy. Putting the little things in perspective is easy when you know you'll have what's most important forever. Your knowledge and your family. I love my family with all my heart even if, at the moment, it's only my husband and our families. The gospel blessed me with wonderful in-laws who love me as a daughter, and I have no doubt they learned it from these teachings. This church is true, and I know this with all my heart. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I enjoy going to the activities specifically for the women of the church. We vary in ages and backgrounds, and I love the wisdom and spunk found in all the women I know. Church is wonderful to attend, and I feel welcome even if I move and find myself attending a different Mormon church. The church is the same everywhere! Having the companionship and knowing I am loved makes attending church activities a habit I enjoy. It also helps that my husband supports and uplifts me in all my spiritual and physical endeavors.

In whom should we have faith?

Our Heavenly father and his son Jesus Christ of course! The greatest joys I have experienced if when I'm focusing on pleasing a merciful and just God versus pleasing myself. When we are spending our time and effort on worthy concerns, we find all the little things in life are made easier. Show more Show less
