Hi I'm Larry

I grew up in Colorado. Enjoy serving others. My best freind is my wife. I love being a husband, father and Papa! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to serve others. I look for ways to help the less fortunate. I pray for opportunities daily. I am married to a wonderful lady. We have been married for 36 years. We enjoy being together. I grew up in Colorado. I am a father of 4 children (2 daughters and 2 sons) and am blessed to have 14 grandchildren. I love to hear the word Papa. I write in my journal daily, which is something I have done for over 30 years.  I served a mission in Switzerland-France in 1974 to 75. I love western movies and a good book once in a while, along with a good ole laugh daily. The best part of my day is to make my wife, Gayle laugh. I promised her I would do that for her from the first day we were married. I have kept my word.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormom because I love the gospel message, which is knowing that Jesus Christ is my Savior, Redeemer and my friend. I know there is a plan and purpose to life, my life. I love to search the scriptures for the priceless gems and jewels that are in them and then look for ways to apply them in my life. I know that there is ore to life than just now. I know that families are forever. I remember when I was baptized at the age of 8  by my father and was given the companionship of the Holy ghost. I remember those 4 simple words spoken as I was confirmed a member of the church, which were "recieve the Holy Ghost". What a blessing it has been to feel the peace and comfort of that companionship in my life. I know he whispers to me and influences me to do good and to enable me to recognize truth and answers my daily prayers to seek out the poor and needy. The Church has changed my life for the good. I know that joy and peace comes from being obedient to all of God's commandments. Life is great as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the opportunity to serve others in the church and in the community. Making a difference in the world brings a satisfaction that is beyond words. I love people of all ages. I am currently a stake president, which gives me opportunities to serve many peopel in and outside the church. I enjoy my time working with the youth and watching them grow as they learn to serve. I enjoy my time with the singles of the Church. They are wonderful and have so much to offer. I love to ponder the scriptures daily and to have a chance to make people smile and feel good about themselves. I have enjoyed all the callings I have had in the church. I enjoy doing and applying the things that I know and have learned as a member of the church. Walking by faith nad holding to th eanchor of hope blesses my life daily. Knowing I can make a difference daily in someones life, brings me true happiness.
