Hi I'm Sheila

I grew up as a military brat with 8 siblings. Now I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to college and received a degree in nursing. I worked for a few years, but now I am a full time mom of 5 and it's the best. Cooking and eating are my favorites. I haven't met a curry I didn't like. I like to play the piano, but love listening to really good pianists even better. Yoga does amazing things for my body and soul. Staying healthy and strong are two of my goals and I plan to celebrate my 100th birthday with my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am still a faithful member because I enjoy the lifestyle that it teaches. I enjoy having a clean body, mind, and spirit. I have a deep sense of peace and happiness in this world of sometimes turmoil. Knowing my Savior, Jesus Christ, is there for me has helped me through the dark times in my life. Losing a child helped increase my love for my Heavenly Father because He healed my heart. I want to be with my best friend (my husband Bryon) and my beautiful children forever. I know we can be if we follow God's commandments.

How I live my faith

I work with the teenage girls in our church group. We have an awesome goal setting program that I help facilitate. I love the programs and activities that are available to our youth. I sing in the ward choir because I love to feel the Spirit in a way that nothing else can duplicate. I love associating with the diverse ladies in our church. We have opportunities to teach each other things from cooking and crafts to dancing and financing.
