I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, first and foremost of all, I want to say how thankful I am for my family, my friends, and most importantly, for my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ for giving me this life here on earth in these Latter-Days. I'm a mother of two young men, one of which is serving in the U.S. Navy for six years. I've worked for a local elementary school for five years before I retired in 2008. Now, I stay home with my other son who just happened to graduate from high school in 2009. I'm thinking of going back to college to educate myself better, and to improve my lifestyle, and maybe, get a degree in accounting. I love to work with children, since my youngest son has autism. I seem to understand children with disabilites, and I have the patience and time to work with them. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family, who are always behind me, and are willing to lend me a hand in time of need. Family is the most important thing in this life. Jobs, friends, and everything else comes and goes, but your family is eternal, and are part of Heavenly Father's plan for eternal life. I'm so grateful for the relationship I have with my family and friends. I just want to wish everyone good health and happy lifestyles, may God always come first in your lives. And I hope that what you read in my profile, somehow it helps you in your life, and that you can make a change with God's blessings. I'm thankful for my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ for who I am and what I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have strong beliefs and faith in my father in heaven and in his son, Jesus Christ. I believe that the true church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been restored here on this earth. I believe that the Book Of Mormon is a true scripture that our Heavenly Father has given to us for guidance and directions in these Latter-Days. I believe that Joseph Smith was our first true prophet that Heavenly Father chose to guide us, and now I believe that Thomas S. Monson is our recent true prophet who receives revelations from Heavenly Father to lead and guide us in the right direction. I am very thankful for the missionaries for visiting my relatives and giving them lessons of the gospel and of Jesus Christ. Once the missionaries came into my life, I knew that my life would change for the better. I felt as if there was something missing in my life, and it was the true gospel of my Heavenly Father. Once I became a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, I knew that I would have to keep the promises that I made in the temple, in order for the Lord to keep blessing me and my family. Having faith in Christ is something you can't see, but feel in your heart and knowing that it's true. Many blessings come with being a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints when you keep the commandments, live the gospel and being a righteous child of God in these Latter-Days. I am truly blessed to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and never leaves me alone, I can get through any challenges or problems in my life with my father in heaven by my side. I am thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and for the gift of the Holy Ghost who helps up make good choices all the way. My name is Anita Gil, and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church on Sundays, keeping the Sabbath Day holy, serving others in my family and friends by showing them the scriptures and how they help me in my life. I recently don't have any callings in the church which is a title that you hold in the church while helping serve others. But I am thankful for those brothers and sisters who do hold callings of the church and how much I appreciate them for their time and help that they give out to all of us who need them. I teach my children to live righteously and to study and ponder the scriptures. I try to do my best every day to live righteously and serve others, so that my Lord will be pleased with me. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, who died for all of us sinners, so that we can repent and be forgiven. I try to be an example to my family and friends, and help them strengthen their faith in Heavenly Father. I know that I have to live faithfully and keeping the commendmants, in order to receive the Celestial kingdom when our Savior comes to gather his covenant people, which are God fearing people. I know that through prayer, it can strengthens your faith in Jesus Christ.
