Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a mother of two wonderful children. I am a wife to an amazing husband. I love family, good food, and FUN! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two beautiful children who keep me on my toes daily! My hobbies and interests include but are not limited to: singing, dancing (when nobody is looking!), scrapbooking, photography, blogging, playing trains, reading books, playing basketball with my son, making googly eyes at my baby girl, finding yummy new meals to cook, baking,, cleaning (sometimes!), and spending time with my sweet husband. I love being "out and about" which is difficult with two small children, but we try as often as possible! I love my life and am excited for all the adventures yet to come!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but that doesn't mean I was born with a testimony. That was something I had to gain for myself and that I strive to nourish daily. When I was a teenager, I loved church and going to youth activities. But I didn't have good friends. I can see that now. When I graduated from High School, I moved to Provo, UT to go to school. I gained some lifelong friends and examples who helped shape me into the person I am now. When I was 21 years old, I served a mission for the church in and around Atlanta Georgia for 18 months. I learned a lot about my faith in Christ as I spent my every moment preaching His Gospel. It was on my mission that I really learned what my testimony meant to me as it was challenged every day. And I came to really know, in my mind and in my heart, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can change lives. It can soften hearts, and it can strengthen the weak. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know it. And it can bring peace and happiness into our lives if we let it. If we read and pray with a sincere heart, God will bless us with peace and happiness, and the ability to handle life's challenges. I know that God lives and that His Son, Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world! It brings me so much peace and joy to know that my Father in Heaven loves me, and that He loves you too. We can all return to live with Him again if we will keep His Commandments and live His Gospel.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday our congregation meets to hear speakers and uplifting music. I am responsible for making a bulletin for the ward (what we call a congregation) that outlines that Sunday's program and include any announcements there might be. I really enjoy being part of the ward and contributing to its success. I also go out once a month with another mom in the ward and visit other women to share a gospel centered message and just visit for a little while. We have so much fun getting to know each other and talking about our individual families. We are a great strength to each other. I look forward to seeing these amazing women every month. And of course, we're not at church every day or making visits to other ward members. But I still try to live my faith every day. I sing songs to my kids about Christ and teach them to pray over meals and at bed time. We listen to uplifting music and try to make our home a place where we can feel the Spirit of God. Living my faith is something I love to do because it brings me and my family together and it blesses the lives of others.
