Hi I'm Teresa

I'm a labor and Delivery Nurse who is now at home with my five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to Rollerblade, do step aerobics, sew and experiment with food for fun. I worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse in three different states and Loved what I did. I'm a mother of five wonderful children who I love. I think going to Home Depot is better than a trip to the mall and could easily spend more money there!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because through being taught to pray to my Heavenly Father, I have been blessed with things only my Father in Heaven was told that I desired. I know that HE is aware of me and that HE directs me to answers to my prayers. I continue to gain understanding about life and how to maneuver the challenges and steps to keep progressing in this life and in preparing to become whom I hope to be after I die.

How I live my faith

I have been able to oversee and direct the Women's organization at two different times, once as a single sister, and once married with children, each offering different challenges and opportunities to help the sisters with. I have been able to organize activities, be a counselor over the children's organization and activites, be over the ward food storage and preparedness, visit sisters in their homes, be a camp nurse over 100 young women, and learn and teach doctrinal lessons on Sunday. Every opportunity teaches me new things and helps me understand the scriptures and the ministry of our Savior Jesus Christ better.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Teresa
The Husband and Father has the opportunity to provide for the physical well being of the family while the Wife and Mother focuses on the emotional well being of the children and family. When these are met then both husband and wife, together can nurture the family in spiritual and mental well being. The Wife can nurture her husband and encourage him in his roles even and especially when they become less exciting or difficult, and the Husband can encourage his wife when the work in the home becomes less exciting and difficult. They can support each other in these roles for the well being of each other and the whole family! The husband, when worthy to hold the Priesthood, blesses his home and family with aided spiritual power that only he can provide with that channel of authority from God. The wife can aid by teaching the scriptures and answering questions that arise from the children and encouraging them in other learning activities. When both work together in these roles- supporting and encouraging each other, not competing, it creates a bit of heaven on earth. Show more Show less
