Hi I'm Jonelle

I was born and raised in Arizona. I am a wife and mother of three wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for eight years. We have a six-year-old daughter, a two-year-old son, and a two-month-old baby boy. I love spending time with my family, good music, ballet dance, Mexican food, reading inspirational books, talking to family and close friends on the phone, shopping at bargain stores, night classes at the community college, and finding new recipes and ways to get my family to eat healthier. I worked at a bank for ten years, and although I absolutely loved it, one year ago I was able to quit my job to live my greatest dream and passion of all-- to be a stay at home mom! I have to laugh sometimes when I think of how I went from business suits, deadlines, and sales goals to jeans, playing at the park, and changing diapers. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, but that is not why I am a Mormon today. My faith in Jesus Christ began to develop from the time I was a young child. When I would attend church and sing children's hymns, I would feel the warmth of the Holy Spirit testifying to me that Heavenly Father knows and loves me. When I was twelve years old I accepted a challenge to read the Book of Mormon. As I read and prayed, the Holy Ghost testified to my heart that it was true. As a young teenager, it was unmistakable when the promptings of the Holy Ghost spoke to my mind and heart that Jesus Christ lives, Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, the Bible and the Book of Mormon are true, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) is God's true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Each day I try to live my faith by being a true disciple of Christ. To me this means many things, such as striving to be kind to others and giving service. At church I am an assistant children's leader, which means I help with organizing, planning and executing the teaching and lessons for the children from age 18 months to eleven years old. A few months ago I was in charge of planning and carrying out a children's presentation. This is where the parents get to enjoy learning the gospel of Jesus Christ by their children, singing and speaking. I also have the opportunity to be a visiting teacher to four special women. This means that monthly I, along with another lady from church who is called my companion, try to schedule a special visit with each of the four ladies. When we get together my companion and I share a spiritual and uplifting lesson, as well as sit and chat and become good friends with the lady we are visiting. I really enjoy visiting teaching.
