Hi I'm Chiara

I love my husband, music, and photography -- and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in the United States, and I have spent most of my life flying between the USA and Italy, visiting my mother's side of the family. I earned my Associates degree in Sociology at a local community college and transferred to UGA to earn my Bachelor's degree in Communications. I have an intense passion for photography. I love the memories that are embodied in photographs, and how they are cherished and preserved for future generations. I love music and how it communicates feelings and releases emotions. I love people and learning about cultures, societies, and the innate abilities each person has and their contributions to society. I love the world. I love everything about it, and I love the Lord for giving it to us to love.

Why I am a Mormon

When I meet someone new and they ask me to tell them a little about myself, the first thing I say is "Well, I'm a Latter-Day Saint and I love Jesus Christ." I don't know where I would be without the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I grew up in the church and was baptized when I was 8. I experienced, in full, the various youth programs. I cannot think of a time when I wasn't learning something about Christ or about myself. Everything about the Church is wonderful and has helped me become who I am today. I learned about the value of music and the capabilities it has of both inward and outward expression. I have learned about and the importance of Faith, Choice and Accountability, Integrity, Knowledge, Honesty, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Virtue and Good Works. I have seen the wonderful effects of these principles and the light they provide in my life as well as the life of others. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ, and everything they have done, are doing, and will do to provide me with a way to return to live with them when my time on this Earth is finished.

How I live my faith

Outside of the church, I live my Faith by following the Lord's commandments, dressing modestly at all times, following the Word of Wisdom, and serving others in any way that I can. Within the church, I have had many callings, or jobs. All of them have either revolved around music or children - two of my greatest passions. I have been blessed to work with children ages 18 months to 3 years and teach them the basics of the Gospel. I was then given the calling of working in the Primary organization as a Music Leader. Not only was I able to help teach these sweet, young spirits the Truth of the Gospel, but I was able to help instill an appreciation of music in their hearts. I was also called twice to be Music Director for the Relief Society, the organization for adult women in the church (once in Italy and once in America). Through these services, I have learned more about myself and more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Lord, the Gospel and how blessed I am to be a part of it.
