Hi I'm Dakota

I'm a Husband. I'm a Pre-Dental Student. I love to smile, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im in college! I love college...kind of. actually, sometimes I don't, but thats only when I have so much work that I am swimming in it. I run my life around spending time with my wife, going to school at BYU-Idaho, and working at a dental office here locally in Rexburg.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church with my parents and siblings (my parents joined the church when they got married). i was not very familiar with the doctrine of the church, or why "mormons" believe what we do...but i had great faith that god was really watching over me and that he loved me. Even though I have faith in God and Jesus Christ, I have made mistakes in my life, and I still continue to make mistakes. There have been times where I have felt pretty guilty about things that I had done, but decided to cover up those mistakes without trying to correct them. it was only until I started reading the Book of Mormon that I received a TRUE conversion to the teachings of the church. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was 19. I knew it was true because I could feel it...I had a very peaceful and real feeling come over me that the things that i was told to follow when i was younger were right. I decided to correct my mistakes and now I am very happy. that I have served as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I continue to base my life on the teachings of the Church. I have never been happier because of it.

How I live my faith

I do the best that I can. i try to live a wholesome life, and when i mess up, I just try a little harder to become better. I rely a lot upon Jesus Christ in my life. he keeps me going when i have those bad days. I think its important to know that no one is perfect...seriously, no one, except Christ. I look to him as an example to live my faith and my life in general.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

coffee, tea, and alcohol seem to be very addictive substances, and I believe that God wants to keep us away from getting sucked into addictive things like those. we dont drink any of those things because it will keep us from having health problems, but also it keeps our minds clear so we can learn Gods teachings better.
