Hi I'm Cynde

I am a mother of Four. I am a wife. I am a hoosier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 children between the ages of 9 and 2, In turn I have unending laundry, meals to prepare, and run a taxi service for my children. I have a loving husband who is still my best friend (Although we don't always see eye to eye). After I had my 4th child I decided to start training for Triathlons. I have competed in 3 Olympic Distance Triathlons. I love to bike and swim (although it is hard to find time) and I run because it is good for me, not because I love it. It provides me time to contemplate life, and get clarity in situations that arise with my family. I always have to have a book to read, or I feel a little lost. I miss my friends and family that live far away from me, but love my friends here in Indiana. I grew up with a father in the airforce and moved around every few years growing up. As a result, I enjoy travel and exploring places I have never been. I am looking forward to returning to school to get a graduate degree when my little ones are all in school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormom because I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that this gospel is the truth. Jesus Christ is our Savior, and He leads this work. I grew up in the church but for the majority of my youth lived in places in which there were few members of our church living in the area. I think the experiences I had, carved me into a strong member of the church with an unshakeable testimony. I know the Savior lives. I know that we have Prophets on the earth today to lead and guide us. I know that the blessings we recieve in the temple can link our families together for eternity, contingent on our faithfulness. I want to have a forever family! The blessings of membership are endless! I am so grateful for the Savior and for his Atonement. I pray that I can live to return again to His presence!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying daily to our Heavenly Father and by trying to live as his Son did. I am not anywhere close to perfect which allows me the oppotunity to use the Saviors atonement to repent of my sins. I also try to read my scriptures daily, it helps me keep the spirit involved in my life. I feel one of my most important responsiblities, with young children in my home, is teach them about the Savior and how he would have us live. This can be overwhelming. I try to look for those teaching opportunities, that will help my children grow. My hope is that they will have the desire to try to live a righteous life, and do there best to make that happen. I have helped in my church in numerous ways. I have spent alot of time teaching children and women in the church. Currently I am serving in the womens organization as a secretary. I try to keep track of everyone, especaily new people moving into our area. I love to meet our new members and visitors each week. I am always looking for more friends! I feel we can learn so much from eachother and can lean on eachother in times of trial. I am so grateful for the church in my life and the "family" I have no matter where I live on this earth.
