Hi I'm Steve Fuller

I am LDS, father of 5, attorney, photographer, hiker, learner

About Me

I have been married for over 30 years and my wife and I have five children. I am an attorney with a trust company and so I specialize in trust law and administration. I am an avid photographer. We have a studio in our house. My wife loves roses and we have more than 50 rose bushes. Other hobbies include beads and making necklaces, leatherwork, hiking, exercise, reading, home repairs. Although I am not over-weight and am very active, I have been diabetic for about 15 years. This has caused me to study nutrition extensively.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because each day the Holy Ghost confirms to me the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that God loves us, His children, that the Priesthood blesses people, and that the path I am pursuing is correct. Feelings of love and confirmation from the Holy Ghost come daily as I read scriptures, pray, or serve others. I could also take much time to expand intellectual reasonings. Logic and reasoning push my faith deeper and provide a framework for the confirming witness of the Holy Ghost. I am not a superficial thinker. I study and analyze. Faith is deeper than logic and reasoning. However, logic and reasoning bring a thirst for truth--eternal truth--and as one understands more eternal truths, faith increases, knowledge increases, and the capacity to love increases. Another reason for why I am a disciple is the complete and humble recognition of the deep love of those who love God. It is a joy to be around loving people. Belief in and application of the teachings of Jesus Christ and then the companionship of the Holy Ghost, help us be more loving.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a loving and good person. I try to do good. I serve my family and members of the Church and community. For many years I taught early-morning seminary classes as a volunteer teacher. These one-hour classes are held for high school students every morning in a Church building a few miles away from the high school, before the start of high school classes at 7:00 am. The curiculum for Church seminary classes is the New Testament, Old Testament, Book of Mormon, and Church History and modern scriptures. There is a four-year rotation. Every night I would study and prepare for class the next day. Every morning I would teach. Young people came--including a number of young people who were not members of the Church. In our particular building we had separate classes for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. I usually taught seniors, but taught all classes over the years. It was amazing to see the sacrifice of young people. I also had to sacrifice much time. Work is busy. There is never enough time, but with the help of my wife I was able to get things done that had to be done. I have served in various capacities. I live my faith by service. We have frequent family gatherings and that is the most important place in which to live my faith. We love our children and grandchildren and we all work together through the challenges of life. We grow together and work together and worship together.
