Hi I'm Toddy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an adult convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was born in Manila, Philippines during World War II in a Japanese Concentration Camp for civillians. I was raised in Hawaii and attended college in Corvallis, Oregon which is where I Joined the "Mormon" Church. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and desciple of Jesus Christ. I love sewing, cooking, reading to children, crafting and serving others in any way I am needed. Although I don't have any children in school now, I still enjoy volunteering at the loca schools and have made many costumes for community theater productions. I enjoy being around people and being spontaneous. We live close to some of our children and grand children and I enjoy our Sunday dinners together along with several single adults that we have "adopted".

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints came about through many interwoven experiences. I was raised in a Congregational church, attended the Methodist church regularly with a friend and went to the Catholic church every Sunday for 2 years as well as their inquier's classes. I had a girlfriend in high school who was LDS and I went to their activities as well. I still had many unanswered questions about religion, life, and which doctrines were accurate/true. Once in college, there were too many "coincidental" happenings to deny that I was being lead to His church. I am humbled to know that a very wise, kind, loving Heavenly Father knew me personally and wanted what was best for me while on this earth. He knows what I need to be able to return to His prescence and I feel his guidance daily. Other churches have parts of the doctrine/teachings of Jesus Christ but lacks the orgnization and authority that were part of the church Christ established while he was here on earth. I am a much better person since joining the LDS church and have had my questions answered.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example for good with everyone that I interact with. I am far from perfect and sometimes I am sure I frustrate others but It is never intentional. Living the gospel principles has made my life much more rewarding and I tend to be a happy positive person. I feel that being a friend is very important and a good way to introduce others to more fullfilling way of life. Being a member of the LDS church gives us a way to help, serve, strengthen, and teach others about Heavenly Father's love for each of his children.
