Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a wife. I am a mother of two. I'm a massage therapist. I'm a video game enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went through a divorce four years ago. To go from being a mostly stay-at-home mom living in a beautiful home with my two children, to a single mom living in my mom's basement was very hard for me. Looking in the mirror I remember asking myself, "Who are you?" For a while I didn't know the answer. I gave myself one day to cry and ended up taking two. Then I got up and went to work. I wanted to make a life for myself and my children. I wanted to have a home of our own again. I put myself through massage therapy school and bought my first home two years ago. In the process I met an amazing man and we got married in June. My husband and I spend almost every date night at home playing video games together. I love nature and all of God's creations. I find great peace being outdoors. I have two amazing children. My son wants to be a scientist and loves to dance. My daughter wants to be a doctor and loves bugs. I never thought I would have experienced the things I have in my life, but I know they have proved me stronger than I thought I could be.

Why I am a Mormon

If it wasn't for my faith in God and my belief in my savior Jesus Christ I don't think I would have made it through my divorce. The knowledge that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me gives me courage everyday. I know God knows me personally and listens to my prayers. I know that through him all things are possible. I love my family and I know that because of my covenants with God I can be with them forever. I love the scriptures and know that they are the word of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet on the earth today and that he recieves revelation from God. I know that Jesus is my savior and that he lives again and that through him I can return to live with God and him again. This knowledge brings me such happiness and peace in my life.

How I live my faith

I love to give of myself whenever I have the opportunity. Sometimes it is something simple like giving free massages at a running event for a good cause or helping someone clean their home while they recover from surgery. I love to teach my children that giving to others and doing for others is what Jesus Christ did while on the earth and to become like him we need to give of ourselves.
