Hi I'm Cheryl

I'm grew up on a farm. I'm a business owner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and new mom. I love to help others when I can. I enjoy sharing memories and experiences where I have learned an important lesson or was an especially comical event with family and friends. I especially enjoy opportunities to encourage, uplift or cheer on those whom I care about. I strive to have a childlike wonder and zest for life as I experience it day by day, being able to laugh at myself and find joy each moment. I've always had a keen sense for health & wellness with the human body. I enjoy indoor and outdoor sport activities as well as family board or card games.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Christian home and always enjoyed attending church with my family. As I got older & went to college the importance of remaining in fellowship with others in faith become more apparent to me. As I made mistakes that distanced me from God and Jesus; I grew further away as I pursued my personal & professional goals within the world's standards and expectations. Finding myself lost & lonely unable to find love & burdened with my damaged sense of self-worth. I turned to seek for the enlightenment and joy found in a church community and with those of my similar age and stage in life. I was introduced to the restored Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from a friend who was not currently attending church regularly but already a member. At first I was not interested in becoming a member, but after seeing a change in my friend once he had returned to Church meetings, I was intrigued & wanted to know more. He gave me a Book of Mormon and I began to read, but had many questions, he referred me to the Sister Missionaries who where assigned to the Young Single Adult congregation that he was attending. They helped me find answers to my questions, I began to attend Church with them & continued reading in the Book of Mormon. I was amazed how similar the events illustrated the dealings of God with His children here on Earth where similar to those recorded in the Old & New Testaments of the Bible. I was recalling spiritual questions from my youth and finding a further understanding by reading the Book of Mormon. I joined the Church shortly after the missionaries shared with me God's Plan of Happiness/Salvation. I felt very strongly in my heart/soul as to what they were sharing with me was true and I could not deny it. I could not walk away from this amazing truth & hope given unto me. I continue to find happiness with my husband and child in following the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior, son of the Living God.

How I live my faith

Living your faith is a daily thing-really a lifestyle. It is not always easy but always manageable. I find that regular scripture study, prayer, personal reflection and participation in Church activities allow a lifestyle of faith to develop. I strive to do all these things as well as following the example Christ gave us in His Earthly ministry and council of our Church leaders. I'm currently a Sunday school teacher in our congregation (ward), I have also served in a leadership position within the Church. These callings have given me opportunities to share my personal experience and testimony with the Gospel to other members. I find that I continually need to work on developing the attributes of the Savior. That I need to show compassion for my fellow man, to judge not and to not underestimate what God can do through me as I strive to remain worthy of His guidance, protection and blessings.
