Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a military brat and grew up in Germany. I have 5 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I loved living in Germany as a child because our family, the military base and our small congregation were our focus. I am married to a military man and have 5 kids. My oldest has high functioning autism. I enjoy teaching the children at church, having my children's friends stop by in our neighborhood and trying to learn to make other adult friends. I earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition while we were in Texas, which is helpful in creative cooking because my fourth child has multiple food allergies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a member family which taught and showed me how to live the gospel. As I followed the teachings of the gospel, I saw the benefits of a life consecrated by faith. I have read the Bible and Book of Mormon many times. I have gained a testimony of Joseph Smith as a prophet who restored Jesus' complete church to this earth. The Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture and helps us more fully understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures often, pray daily, have family time to teach my children, and support my husband as he serves others in our congregation. I teach 11 year olds at church but have helped set up women's group activites. I am seeking opportunities to make friends outside of my congregation and support their good values while trying to present those that are important to me.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Cindy
We believe that everyone needs grace because we all fall short but that you have to work in this world to live up to the responsibilities and knowledge that you have of what is right and wrong. We all need to repent and learn and grow and this life is the time to learn to be better. After you have done what you can, Jesus' atonement makes up for the rest. Show more Show less
