Hi I'm Maren

I'm a violin and viola teacher. I'm a wife and mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother to three wonderful kids. I teach violin and viola to 25 students in my studio at home. I love my job and enjoy sharing the gift of music with the kids in my area. I love helping them succeed at a goal and teaching them how to work hard and enjoy the results. I love seeing a child express themselves through the power of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all of my life. My ancestors crossed the plains and sacrificed so much so that we would have the gospel. I am a member because I have received my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called by God, just as Moses and Abraham and Noah were. I know that my family can be a family forever because we are sealed together for not just time, but eternity. I am a Mormon because it makes my life happy and helps me be the best me I can be. I know that I can stay happy and safe in a troubling world because we have a prophet on the earth today that leads us. I am a Mormon because I know it is the true church that will lead me back to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I get to serve my church by serving in the Young Women's program, which means I get to work with the girls ages 12-18. I am so lucky to get to teach and guide these great youth! I live my faith by teaching my children about the Savior. We have family night every week where we learn about spiritual things and play games and enjoy time together. I live my faith by being a good neighbor, by being honest in all my dealings. I live my faith by treating other people the way I would want to be treated. I live my faith by searching for opportunities to serve the people around me. When I help those around me, I can feel the love of Jesus Christ for them and for me. If we can lift those around us, our own problems become easier to manage.
