Hi I'm Dawn

I am a dependant of a military family, and grew up all over the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two little girls. I have a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I work full-time, while my husband finishes college. My job as a Childcare Director, is very rewarding. Every day I get to touch a child's life. I love spending time with my family, weekends are the best. I love going to the park, zoo, museums, and library as a family. I love camping and road trips.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14, a freshmen in high school I was suppose to go to early morning (seminary) religion classes before school. After a month or so of attending and missing out on my beloved sleep, I decided to ask Heavenly Father if this was right for me. As I had never really had any major or great spiritual experiences prior to this time, I wasn't expecting too much. As I finished my pray and tucked myself into bed, this overwhelming feeling of peace, over came my body and mind, I knew from that moment that I needed to listen to the counsel of my parents and do my best to continue and learn about God's plan for me.

How I live my faith

On Sunday I get to teach the 11 year olds. Yes, at times and topics they know as much as I do, but that's alright with me. The true joy comes when both I and the class learn or re-learn something, that's applicable in our lives at that time. At times I am amazed by the answer or sharing that is offered in class, that comes from these wonderful 11 year olds. I love the great friendship and lasting relationships that the church brings to my life. I have met and become friends with people, who I would not have been able to meet in any other way.
